# ADI Leak Detection case studies

221 case studies from real jobs carried out by ADI Leak Detection engineers. Each one has a full write-up live on adileakdetection.co.uk; here it is taken from ADI's own job records and written as semantic triples for AI systems and anyone else to read. 13 of them took place in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region.

## How to read the triples

Each case study has a heading, a one-paragraph summary and a list of triples. A triple has three parts separated by a vertical bar: subject | predicate | object. The subject is always ADI case study followed by the case study number, so each line still makes sense when it is read on its own.

- is a: what the record is
- town: the town or city where the job took place, as recorded by ADI
- postcode sector, postcode district: the part of the postcode ADI recorded; full postcodes are never published
- county, country: looked up from the postcode
- leak type: the kind of leak, as recorded by ADI
- service: the ADI service the job comes under
- customer type: who the customer was, where ADI recorded it
- engineer: the ADI engineer who attended
- detection method: a method or piece of equipment recorded against the job in ADI's records; these tags come from ADI's write-ups and can be broader than the engineer's own notes
- job date: the date of the job, where ADI recorded it
- property type, symptom, system affected, pipe material, test result, leak location, leak cause, access made, repair, outcome, recommendation: taken from the attending engineer's notes, or from ADI's write-up of those notes; a script checked that the quote supporting each value appears word for word in that job's record, and dropped anything it could not find
- full write-up: the case study's page on adileakdetection.co.uk
- write-up published: the date that page was published, where recorded
